I form part of our Sustainability team leading cross-organisational alignment to Luton Council’s Luton 2040 vision, working with senior stakeholders to shape and steer LLA’s social impact programmes and partnerships.
We deliver coherent, high-impact education, skills and outreach activity that strengthens pathways into quality careers and maximises LLA’s positive impact on Luton.
Launched in 2024, the programme offers practical skills development opportunities and employment pathways for local young people and seeks to inspire the next generation of aviation talent.
London Luton Airport (LLA) is one of the UK’s busiest airports, operated by a consortium, the majority shareholder is AENA, the world’s largest airport operator, & InfraBridge, a leading infrastructure investment manager.
LLA continues to be a major employer and a key economic driver in Bedfordshire — supporting 28,000 jobs and contributing £830 million per year to the local economy. In 2024, LLA spent 60% of its supply chain costs with more than 300 businesses within a 25-mile radius of the airport, totalling £110 million.
AISB membership has reinforced our commitment to supporting skills development and education for people in the local community. It provides London Luton Airport with exciting opportunities to influence policy and help shape training standards and skills development initiatives.
It also adds further impetus to the airport’s evolving Classroom to Careers skills development programme.
We look forward to collaborating with fellow AISB members on initiatives that can benefit our local community and the wider aviation sector.
